Veith House Preschool

Veith House is a neighbourhood community centre located in the north end of Halifax.  We offer a part-day preschool program for children ages 3 to 5 years that is open from September until June.  The morning class operates Monday to Thursday from 9:00am - 11:30am, and the afternoon class operates from 1:30pm - 4:00pm.  This program is designed to enhance children's cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, social, and creative development. 

We have daily crafts, music and movement, outdoor games, and many fun learning activities.  We also participate in a Computer Mice program at the CAP site at Veith House and activities with the Veith Street Art Gallery.    The preschool teacher is trained in Early Childhood Education and is experienced working with children with special needs. 

The class size is up to 8 children per morning or afternoon session, and subsidized spaces are available.  The classes fill up quickly, so call (902) 453-4320 or email us at   veithhousepreschool@hotmail.com to register your child today!!!

The preschool classroom is open every Friday from 9:00am - 12:00pm for our Parent & Child Drop-In program.  Stop by with your child to read stories, do crafts, water & sand play, dress-up, or anything else that looks like fun!  Registration is not required for this program, simply show up for a visit with your child and have a great time!  We also have a lending library with toys, books, movies, and parent resources to help carry on the fun activities at home, come take a look!!!
